ACTION REQUIRED BY COB 24th October 2022:  URGENT GOVERNMENT SURVEY FOR ENERGY SUPPORT POST 31st March 2023.

ACTION REQUIRED BY COB 24th October 2022:  URGENT GOVERNMENT SURVEY FOR ENERGY SUPPORT POST 31st March 2023.

“As part of the 3-month review to establish the sectors which require ongoing energy relief post the 31st March 2023, this is a generic survey created by the Department for Business Energy and Industrial Strategy and is intended to identify sectors which need energy relief post the 31st March 2023.  The survey is not designed for the Adult Social Care Sector specifically and as such we ask that you provide as much information as possible for as many of your locations as possible.  We have tried to ask for a more representative survey and have been unsuccessful.

Providers are asked to complete this survey for Government and to support your Care Associations to argue that further energy support is needed for Adult Social Care beyond the 31st March 2023.  If we fail to secure a representative response level, the sector may lose ongoing energy support.

The following may help to answer the questions consistently for our sector:

1.7          If you are a group provider, we suggest you ensure you provide sufficient information to explain that you are representing multiple sites and use your head office as the post code any apply a note aside the post code to say (this is a head office of X number of sites).

2.6          If you use alternative energy sources to Mains Gas, please ensure you add details in respect of heating oil, kerosene, or biomass pellets etc.

2.9          If the percentage increase is greater than 300%, please add the percentage into question 2.10

This should be completed by individual organisations/businesses from within the sector. Therefore, we would greatly appreciate if you could distribute this to all members of your organisation as soon as possible. The questionnaire will close at 23.55hrs on Monday 24th October.
