The Protection Against Redundancy (Pregnancy and Family Leave) Act 2023

On 24 July, a new law around redundancy and maternity leave came into effect (though it won’t be enforced right away), making it more important than ever that you, as an employer are aware of what your obligations are when it comes to pregnant employees.

Failing to do so can lead to potential legal consequences and damage to you reputation as an employer. It’s crucial that you understand and adhere to the legal protections afforded to pregnant employees to create an inclusive and supportive work environment.

The Protection Against Redundancy (Pregnancy and Family Leave) Act 2023 came into force on 24 July – and while it hasn’t been enforced straightaway as the regulations haven’t been published yet, now’s the time to make sure you’re doing everything right when it comes to employee pregnancy.

There’s a lot to consider, but Citation, are hosting a free webinar on Wednesday 27 September at 10am where they’ll answer any of your questions and give you a hand when it comes to managing pregnancies in your workplace.
