Department of Health and Social Care survey on
energy, fuel and supply cost pressures
The CPA is working with the Department of Health and Social Care to understand how global events, including current developments in the Middle East, are affecting adult social care providers, particularly through energy, fuel and supply cost pressures.
In May, providers helped us establish an important impact baseline via our Resilience Survey.
Gas and Oil prices are now at their highest levels since 2022 and as we enter the winter period, the DHSC has asked us to repeat the survey so that we can identify whether pressures are changing and provide Government with current evidence from the sector.
The survey covers energy and fuel costs, travel and associated resourcing pressures, other operating costs, and any impact on fees or commissioning discussions.
Survey link is here: https://dhsc.jaguarcomputers.co.uk/register
Please note, care providers will be asked to register and select their primary care association before being taken directly to the survey. Registering allows responses from different survey rounds to be compared over time.
If a provider is not a member of an association, there is the option to select “I am not part of a care association”.
This is an official Care Provider Alliance survey undertaken for DHSC and hosted on the Jaguar Computers platform. Survey data will be available to DHSC in anonymised form and, where a provider is a member, to their care association, to support monitoring and resilience planning.
We would be grateful if you could encourage providers to complete it as soon as possible.
Even if providers are not yet experiencing significant impacts, their response is valuable because it helps us build an accurate picture of what is happening across the sector.
All this information is on the CPA website here: https://www.careprovideralliance.org.uk/adult-social-care-resilience-survey-impact-of-global-events-on-costs-and-operations/ and we will be sharing on CPA social media.
