Department of Health and Social Care survey; how better can they support social care?

We work within the Department of Health and Social Care and are supporting a review of the sector support available to the Adult Social Care workforce. We need to better understand the views of the workforce, and any gaps or opportunities there might be to deliver support. Therefore, we are looking to speak with individuals in the workforce who use (or could use) training or other support in their role.

We would appreciate your help to identify anyone within your organisation willing to speak with us 1:1 or engage in a survey over the next two weeks. The discussion will be a maximum of an hour of their time and all information shared will be anonymised and not attributed to an individual/organisation. Please take the time to fill in the survey below:

We will explore the following key themes:

  1. What support is currently available in relation to learning and development (L&D) and recruitment and retention (R&R)
  2. How you access support and activities in relation to L&D and R&R
  3. What is the impact of the support and activities on service delivery (is it useful/relevant to role).
  4. Do you see any gaps in the support and activities available in relation to L&D and R&R.

If you are responding to this email to take part, or have any questions related to the survey, please could you respond to Philippa.rule@dhsc.gov.uk ideally no later than Thursday 30th March.
