Market Sustainability and Fair Cost of Care Fund: Guidance
DHSC has now published its guidance and templates to support local authorities to carry out fair cost of care exercises. A series of documents have been published:

This guidance is intended to support local authorities in administering the Market Sustainability and Fair Cost of Care Fund. This guidance applies to England only. This guidance is also of key importance to care providers who are being asked to engage constructively with the cost of care exercises required of LAs as set out in this guidance. This guidance is clearly aimed at LAs and gives them a framework for their cost of care exercises but exactly how that will look for providers, will vary depending on LA.
