Death certification reforms come into effect

On Monday (9 September) reforms to the death certification process in England and Wales came into effect. Under the reforms, all deaths are now legally subject to either a medical examiner’s scrutiny or a coroner’s investigation.

Mpox virus strain, clade 1: guidance updates

On Wednesday (11 September) the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) issued several updates to its guidance on mpox.
