CQC Implementation Timeline
In case you missed it, CQC published an implementation timeline for its new regulatory framework. Early adopters and testing will begin in August 2022 – these will be a small number of prospective home care providers registering for the first time and some hospice providers. From September this will be expanded to include a small number GP practices, independent providers and care homes. From October the new provider portal will open to all providers and CQC will start carrying out assessments using their new approach with the early adopter group. From January the aim is to start the full roll-out of the new way of regulating.
