2026 promises to be a year that brings many changes to adult social care and health. LCAS plans to bring you updates and make as much information available as possible. The RM meetings will cover a wide range of topics, if there is anything that you would like to add, let us know.
The meeting will be chaired by Dudley Sawyerr
Cyber Security
This is a key topic and LCAS has been appointed to facilitate Better Security – Better Care (DSPT) across SW & SE London for the next 3.5 years. The process will be covered at this meeting, along with how you access the support needed to complete DSPT, or to update your existing annual registration.
You may have spotted this: “All CQC-regulated adult social care providers in England must complete the DSPT. This is a legal requirement under the Health and Social Care Act 2012, as amended by the Health and Care Act 2022.”
This means it is now technically legislatively mandatory under the changes to the health and social care act for all CQC registered adult social care providers to complete the DSPT, as it is a published information standard from NHSE which applies to social care. Not currently being enforced.
There will also be an update on other topics, such as the Employment Rights Act.
