The London Care and Support Forum is a grouping of people and organisations involved in the provision of social care, personal support and health services across the Capital.
We work with commissioners, providers and users of services to provide a supportive facility for the exchange of information, the creation of a better understanding of user requirements in a constantly changing marketplace and to encourage higher quality standards through workforce development.
Our key aims are:
- To offer local authorities and commissioners one point of contact to engage with all types of Social Care and Support Providers
- To provide a forum for managers and owners to share and discuss professional issues
- An opportunity to access peer support, mentoring and fulfil CPD obligations through virtual contacts
- Offer specialist signposting advice to find the information and advice you need to develop and grow
- Provide advice and consultation to help develop the quality of care and enhance local business acumen
- Advise and guide providers in situations where CQC and other regulators challenge practice
- Offer advice when service expansion, care model change or contraction is being contemplated
- Lead with the development of new and changing social care services
- To be a single source of relevant data to enable organisations to respond to key strategic, business and workforce issues
- To speak as the voice of social care across London
- Provide a range of expert professional services to members
- Work collaboratively for a fairer financial deal for providers, so enabling better quality
- Act as a broker for funding streams, such as those used for staff development
