I am writing from the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust in London. We are a specialist mental health Trust, and deliver a wide range of education and training programmes alongside our clinical work.
I wanted to share the details of a fully-funded, part-time training course, which I was hoping you might be able to share with your network? Developing a diverse child and adolescent workforce (CPD64) has been specifically developed and funded for support workers, currently working with children or young people in London, who don’t have a university degree.
Over the course of ten weeks, they’ll learn about children’s emotional development, undertake an infant observation, and explore what it means to work in multicultural contexts – developing knowledge and skills that can be immediately applied to their current role and beyond.
We will be discussing all aspects of the training at a series of free open events, led by our Course Lead. These events will be taking place online and in-person throughout June – giving any potential applicants plenty of time to submit an application prior to the course starting in September.
If appropriate, please could you share this email or this postcard (PDF) with your network? And if you have any questions about the course, please do let me know – I would be delighted to help.
With best wishes,
